I’m on the fence about the new look and feel of YouTube, but I felt this would be a great opportunity to see how Twitter and its users would react. Version 1 of an idea I had early for using Twitter as a litmus test. I ran some numbers using the search API and generated some pretty graphs, enjoy!
It’s funny, because yesterday a lot of the “positive” tweets had an *april fools day* along with it. When calculating the general stats, I omitted the obviously sarcastic ones.
It seems every time a website does a redesign there are more unhappy people than happy. People tend to like what they’re already familiar with. (this isn’t necessarily a bad thing)
Definitely true, also the problem that people are more likely to be vocal about complaints then praise skews these results.
